Wonderful colour, smells, mélasse ans little kind wood and laether.
Rum tasting with my buddy in Tampere continued with Ron Vacilon 15y. Very nice bottle and label design. Light golden color. Plenty of dry oakiness and mild vanilla and plenty of added sweetness to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Mild and short burn at the end. Too sweet to be a great rum.
Nose: Burnt sugar, thick molasses and toasty oak.
Palate: Caramel, dark chocolate, ginger and exotic dark spices.
Finish: Spicy, lingering mocha.
Overall: Fantasic stuff ¡Viva la Revolución!
In the aroma there are lot of tones, herbs maybe... taste of molases with a hint of bitterness... not at all sweet. One of my favorites considering Cuban rums.
