The aroma of vanilla and plums without a sharp alcohol smell. Pleasantly sweet and smooth, tastes of plums, vanilla and cocoa. The aftertaste could have been better and longer and it would have gotten an extra point. Otherwise a very good drink. Nothing else to say.
To much added sugar meaning that it is not for Rum aficionados but for newbies who do not know anything about rum.
Definitivamente el mejor ron peruano.. Para tomarlo solo o en las rocas
Thought rums like Diplomatico and Plantation XO were as good as it got, but this was another level. So smooth it should come with a warning.
El Ron está bueno, sin más. Un poco sobrevalorado bajo mi punto de vista. Excesivamente dulce para puntuarlo mejor.
Smooth and easy drinking. It is sweet though, so I added 2 small cubes of ice when consuming.
Bottle itself looks luxurious. So very solid appearance when thinking as a gift.
It was a bit sharp on the nose to start but really mellowed out with vibrant honey and raisin notes, the taste was a real treat though and has me keeping an eye out for a bottle in every drink shop I'm in.
Picked this up in Peru, where it is about $100 even there. I usually bring Cartavio XO back, but figured since this is the top Peruvian rum rated here I'd take a chance. I can't say I regret it because it is a good rum, but one more bottle of Cartavio would have been better on my shelf. First the good: it is the smoothest rum I have tried. No burn. So easy to drink. It has ripe fruit and raisin on the nose. Those flavours continue with your first sip, along with some spiciness, maybe nutmeg or allspice. It gets oakier as it goes down, which is - as I said - so smooth. The bad? Sweet! Far too sweet. It says added sugar right on the back of the bottle. Which is unfortunate, because without it it'd probably be a 9 or 10. But it tastes too much like a dessert wine for my liking. Worthy of a try, but if you can bring only one bottle back from Peru, choose the Cartavio XO.
The nose is very, very sweet.
"The finish is pretty soft and inoffensive but it doesn’t last very long."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Millonario was a very good discovery for me, first with the Resera especial 15Y which was very sweet with a power full taste and second wiht the XO.
This is a rhum that is really amazing, it explodes in your mouth with a powerful taste which lasts for minutes after you have sipped it.
The alcohol burn is very mild so that you can drink it straight up without warming up your mouth with another one.
Packaging and bootle are a little cherry on the cake. The only issue is the price compared to his little brother.
