Millonario XO

Nice balanced, fine rum. Maybe little more sweet, but not unpleasant. Good rum, but for this price I expected little more.

It was a bit sharp on the nose to start but really mellowed out with vibrant honey and raisin notes, the taste was a real treat though and has me keeping an eye out for a bottle in every drink shop I'm in.

In the nose I smelt a strongly chocolatey aroma, but it was probably cane. The taste is deeeep, caramel-vanilla(?) with a looong finish.

Nose: nice, complex and gentle aromes of fruits and spices. Even some smoke maybe.
Palate: pretty smooth and buttery, almost too smooth at the cost of some more character. But there is also some nice chili sharpness if the rum rests long enough on the tongue. Sugarbomb (44g/l), even a little bit sticky. Almost no burn.

Overprized - one of the the most expensive bottles in my collection so far.

Sweet and tasteful. This is definitely worth an investment for most aficionados.

El Ron está bueno, sin más. Un poco sobrevalorado bajo mi punto de vista. Excesivamente dulce para puntuarlo mejor.

8-9 outta 10 rum to me a just opened my 1st bottle - getting known with the great Peru - so my tastes are here still settling. Definitely a good rum material, lil' similar to Zacapa XO or green Diplomatico, I'd say - but maybe sweeter and with more "sweety" nose. The aftertaste is less rounded, long and somewhat spicy or herbal - seems complex. This is a serious update to my rum portfolio.

Flowery nose, like melted caramel (i may like the millonario 10yr better because i enjoy a bit of burn) so this is a tamer watered down version compared to the 10yr millonario, a hint of pepper a hint of wood long caramel finish on the lips

Meget delikat og lækker. Den er fyldig rund og har næsten alt man kan ønske sig. Den mangler lidt kant/power for at ramme helt i top hos mig
