Taste is almost identical with the Millonario 15.
But in a blind test I preferred the 15 yrs.
The lower point is for it is really overpriced !
Go with the 15 yrs instead !

The aroma of vanilla and plums without a sharp alcohol smell. Pleasantly sweet and smooth, tastes of plums, vanilla and cocoa. The aftertaste could have been better and longer and it would have gotten an extra point. Otherwise a very good drink. Nothing else to say.

Very sweet. I smell honey. Finish is not so long. Smooth. Really good.

Sharp sweet sugar cane aroma with a feather tickle of alcohol on the nose. First taste slaps that ass with a sugar cane flavor you find in agricoles but without an overwhelming grassy vegetal taste. Goes down with no alcohol bite on the tongue or in the chest. The back end has a rich burnt sugar flavor that is just shy of being too heavy. Definitely a sweet one, and definitely delicious. I can see going through a whole bottle quickly since its such an easy sipper. Would like a touch more heat though, like some hot candle wax drippings ;) Worth having in your collection because of the sexy ass bottle and that sexy ass flavor.

A lot of caramel, molasses and fruit... not as good as the centenario, but pretty close.

Unique taste profile. Nutty and spicy on the nose. Taste treacle, custard, icing sugar. Very mellow and easy to drink.

Rum di stile industriale, con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Al gusto: è molto rotondo, piacevole e con un leggero impatto alcolico.

All'olfatto: si avvertono note intense di tabacco (specie a bicchiere vuoto), cannella, vaniglia.

E' un rum di media complessità, adatto a chi ama i gusti dolci ma anche a chi si avvicina a questo tipo di distillato per le prime volte, senza grosse pretese.

Consiglio per tutti: quando annusate un rum (o qualsiasi distillato), prima di inserire il naso e inspirare, effettuate un leggero soffio nel bicchiere e subito dopo provate a sentire i profumi. Questa operazione serve a svampare un po' la potenza dell'alcool che altrimenti vi porterebbe a bruciare nel naso e ad anestetizzare il vostro olfatto.

Provate a berlo prima da solo, poi dopo aver mangiato del cioccolato fondente (dal 70 all'85% max), ed infine dopo aver mangiato una mezza fetta di arancia fresca (compresa buccia è importante) con dello zucchero di canna sopra. ;-)

Industrial style rum, with an good quality / price ratio.
The taste is very round, pleasant and with a slight alcohol impact.
Intense notes of tobacco (especially with an empty glass), cinnamon and vanilla are to the nose.
It 'a rum also suitable for those who approach this wonderful distillate for the first times, without major claims.

Advice for everyone: when you smell a rum (or any distillate), before inserting the nose and inhaling, make a slight puff in the glass and immediately afterwards try to smell the perfumes. This operation serves to arouse a bit 'the power of alcohol that otherwise would lead you to burn in the nose and to anesthetize your sense of smell.

Try to drink it first alone, then after eating dark chocolate (70 to 85% max), and finally after eating a half slice of fresh orange (including peel is important) with some brown sugar on top. ;-)

Based on the reviews and the price I had higher expectations. It's a great rum, no doubt about it. And I really like the bottle.

Subtile, doux, rond et homogène. Une attaque sans éthanol, pour une suite incroyablement maitrisée. Très complexe, de nombreuses notes fruitées, vanille, sucre cuit, légèrement boisé. Génial.

Edit : après m'être longuement renseigné ce rhum contient beaucoup de sucre ajouté. Je baisse la note en fonction.
