Aroma and taste is similar to XO, but a bit less smooth and more fruity/chocolate.

One of the sweeter i tested.If you like sweet rum with vanilla taste it's the one.

A truly exquisite drink that has a rich lingering aroma of candied fruit, plums and cloves. The taste is of caramel, sultanas and sugar cane.

Upfront I have to note that I did not taste this rum at ambient temperature as usual. It was delivered warm, I guess by prewarming the glass with steam from the coffee maschine. The sensory result was great, with the rum being very volatile in a pleasant way. Not too sweet, tobacco and dried fruit notes.

Great rum for price, little but sweetness but still good, 7/10

Well I discovered this Lux. Rum while traveling on business in Europe. Loved it however its sold everywhere, worldwide with the exception of the USA.

A friend of mine just told me it is available in 43 States in the US, online @ www.passionspirits.com I just bought all 4 bottles fro the holidays! Very excited to hear my doorbell ring!!!

ca la mai toate romurile dulci si acesta imi aduce aminte de rasina, siropos, gros , culoare de mahon inchis, si cam prea dulce. desi imi place sunt cumva dezamagit, pt ca ma face sa cred ca nu merita sa urc la faimosul millonario xo avand in vedere pretul acestuia..

cum spuneam si la el dorado 12 , si acesta poate fi o placere vinovata a celui care nu bea romuri dulci de obicei, dar inclin spre acela totusi pt senzatia de sec in postgust.

as with most sweet rums, this one reminds me of resin, syrupy, thick, dark mahogany color, and a little too sweet. although I like it, I'm somehow disappointed, because it makes me think that it's not worth going up to the famous millonario xo considering its price..

as I said about El Dorado 12, and this can be a guilty pleasure for those who don't usually drink sweet rums, but I still lean towards that one because of the dry feeling in the aftertaste.

the aroma is pleasant; you meet cocoa, wood, sweet wood, burnt sugar, vanilla, with an aftertaste battle between sweet and bitter
