I expected more. Of course it is a good one, but for me to sweet. I actually prever the 10 year one.

This rum has aromas similar to the Millonario XO. It's in the same relationship to the Millonario XO as the Zacapa 23 to the Zacapa XO.
The Millonario 15 is younger, cheaper and a simpler alternative to the XO.
It's not as balanced as XO and the aromas of glue/herbs are very dominant. It's sweet and dark in the taste, also very intensive. Of course it's unique, but you have to love this combination of flavors. It's not for everyone.
If you love sweet rums based on molasses, go for it.

Smell: glue, herbs (parsley is very itensive), burned sugar, caramel, fruits in the background (peach, banana, raisins), barrel.
Taste: parsley, sweetness (caramel, peaches), spice, coffee, fruit, vanilla, wood, some glue.
Finish: middle long, sweet dark chocolate with parsley, spice.
Aftertaste: sweetness, then sherry.

Let it in the glas for 30 minutes, then the smell of glue disappears.

Country: Peru
Production: Blend, 4-Rows-Solera
Age: 8-15
Material: Molasses
Barrel: American white oak & Slavonian oak

Sweetness: 3.5 / 5
Spice: 2.5 / 5
Fruits: 3/5
Mildness: 3/5
Complexity: 3/5
Value (40€): 3/5
Experience level: amateur

What's special: Distilled in three old Scottish column stills. They use their own yeast (don't know which kind).

This was upset. I like sweeter rums and this was highly recommended, but was not that smooth and overall not well balanced...

Tento rum ma príjemne šokoval na jednej ochutnávke a začal som si následne kupovať fľašu za fľašou. V kategórii do 35EUR som ja osobne nenašiel lepší. Je sladký,no nie prehnane. Hustý,bohatý s dlhým záverom. Cítiť v ňom mierne dymovo-drevitu chuť,náznak sušeného ovocia a karamelu.

Dark colour, probably by adding caramel. Smell sweet, nuts, nice caramel finish.
