This has much potential as a versatile cocktail base. With a lot of Jamaican-influence in its production obvious from first whiff, this white has a strong peppery burn right up front that lingers for a spell before mellowing out and delivering some of those expected ripened fruit expressions often present in pot still molasses rums. To be fair, it’s a good American white rum with a high proof for the style, about 4% higher than comparable Cuban Spanish-style rums. Great in a daiquiri, but a tad pricey for what it’s worth. I’m looking forward to seeing what else this team comes up with in the future...
Different, it's like a smoky blanco rum or sweet scotch. Perfect for some creative cocktails.

Bought this bottle while visiting New Orleans but did not open it for months. 44% ABV. The nose is strong and fruity- papayas, pineapple, bananas, maybe some pears. Although seemingly unaged, it is smooth and fruity on the palate, while dry. Strong flavors, I really enjoyed it neat but I am sure it would do well in a cocktail too.
