The 57% is way too much. Smell of rotten banana and robber. Reminds me of the worst rum ever. White overproff Jamaica rum. The taste is better than the nose, but still the alcohol gives a kick. Hot and spicy but a little sweetness in the end. Not my kind of rum, but better than others (16. December 2018 in MacY)
This is a molasses based rum from Worthy park, Jamaica, distributed by the independent bottler Rossi and Rossi within their rum nations rare rum series. It is pot still distilled and has matured for 11 years. Nose reveals rich flavors of overripe fruits and toffee. Sipping the rum a strong wave of pepper and spice hits you immediately. This burn stays for some seconds before opening the door for fruity notes of banana and tropical fruits and toffee. Finish is dry and very long. After several sips also the finish will uphold more pepper and spiciness from the previous taste of the palate. Overall this is a good, seemingly non-sugared and complex rum with nice fruity notes. But it also has a pretty strong attack (which is also due to the overprove level of 57%) which might not serve the tasting preferences of the majority. So I would rate it at somewhere between 7-8.
