This is a great sipping rum. Its a mild color with mild flavor, not very overpowering in anyway which I think is the beauty of the rum. I really can't compare it to any other rum I have drink thus far so it's in a class of it's own. Price point was a little high but was worth buying. Enjoy!!!

This is a balanced rum and smooth to drink. But there is nothing that sticks out from a flavour point of view.

You are a little bit surprised over Bacardi company thta should have the resourcesto produce the finest Rum or by up from the ones that do so. For the brans calling a product Limitada you should expect extra all fromthis bottle. I would say that 8 year is better for the price.

Considering price, this rum is only slightly better than the 8 yr. Had this after Barrilito 3 Estrellas and I just stared at my glass wondering if I really just had a top shelf rum. It's all around average to boring. Nothing of it seems worth the price.

I just brought a bottle of this back from New York City. I had tasted it before, but this is the first time that I gave it a serious tasting. It is one my top rums. I love sipping it. It is a huge step up in class from your normal Bacardi products.
A cut above standard light and Gold. Has a more distinctive feel on the pallet of an aged barrel-product. Bacardi Reserve can be sipped or mixed!

I was hesitant to buy a bottle of this, because of the extremely high price of $499 (DrinkUpNY 2016) and because I'm not really a big fan of El Dorado rums. But this one is very good.
I rate this at the top of the 9 scale; very good, but just shy of a 10.

Mellow with a banana peel flavour. Obviously better than most bacardis because thats not hard to do. Nothing too over the top here when it comes to character. I couldn't pin the flavour and then someone nailed it with raisins. Well done fellow rum rater! Still worth a try at least. Could even buy a couple bottles and not be disappointed.
I got 1 litre bottle on auction for 30Eur considering this as nice for my wife into Coke and acceptable price. Having no expectation, I'm not disappointed. Mixed in Coke it goes well, even the strong over sweet smell turns to fine one. My wife is happy and I have confirmed my assumption that Bacardi suits to mixed drinks, but you never take it as a rum to sip.
Gentle with a nice but not overpowering oaky profile.
"Very sweet β brown sugar and caramel this quickly leaves the palate though leaving a more artificial like note β a touch of Aspartame. Itβs reasonably oaky."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

On a road trip where I found myself at a TGIF Fridays drinking something that I'm not sure was rum (Atlantico) I then wandered into a liquor store and found a bottle of Bacardi Reserve Limited. I'd heard about this but thought you had to go to the tour center or at least Puerto Rico to find it. A land locked, random Midwest liquor store didn't seem like a logical place to find it. And after wrestling with the $125 cost decided I had to find out.
I'm glad I did. I seriously considered giving this my first 10 ever, but settled on a 9. On the plus side, this is without question the smoothest rum you will ever drink. It would be easy to consume all or the better part of a bottle in one sitting but at over $100 a bottle you might not want to do that.
On the other hand it's so smooth that is subtle. The flavors are all mild. There is some fruit (apricot?). I think there is a hint of nutmeg and just a very mild hint of vanilla. I don't know if there is sugar cane, molasses or what but it is just slightly sweet. Here it is perfect, neither to sweet nor too dry.
I think a enjoy the smoothness and the way the flavors blend more than the taste of say the Zacapa 23.
Also price has to be considered. For well above $100, this should be stellar.
I would really like one of the Bacardi experts to tell me what flavors I got right and wrong and explain this nectar to me - or just somebody on the site who knows more.
If you can find it and afford a bottle try it. Oh, and all you Bacardi haters, if you drank this in a blind taste test you'd be out of you mind for it, so just stop.
