United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

This one is my first dark(er) rum. Only drinker flavored or bacardi original rums before. I really liked this, but not to drink pure or on the rocks. I will recommend it as a classic Cuba Libre. Good flavor. But nothing special
A good rum to be mixed with cola and be sure to add lime, otherwise it is too sweet. Taste is sweet and rich with vanilla, aftertaste has a hint of other spices.

Tasty, but very sweet. A good go-to rum with Coke. Smoky and mildly spicy. Widely available at a good price.
At last Bacardi has finally produced something that can rival Captain Morgan spice range. The presentation alone speak volumes and the taste will not leave you disapointed. However I won't go as far as saying that it is the best spiced rum I have tasted because it is way off. Not recommended as a neat drink but vanilla coke gives it a good kick. 7/10 aint bad though.

I had high hopes for Bacardi Oakheart. I was glad to see Bacardi making the jump into the spiced rum market. I feel Bacardi makes respectable rums, but this is barely average. I was not impressed. I felt the rum is too sweet mixed with cola and that is odd for me because I like sweet rum. (That is why I like rum and cola) This will not overtake Captain Morgan as my mixer of choice. There are other brands after Captain that I would choose before Oakheart. A bit of a disappointment.

Another spiced that thinks it's an Amber. One of the best of the bats!

I dont like Bacardi but this one is very good. Strong oak and vanila flavours. Smokiness. Everything is well balanced. Sweet quite a lot but reasonably to spiced party rum. Woody oak flavors seems to be artifical not natural. Very smooth in throat.
One of the two rums I use as an everyday rum. Smooth enough to drink on the rocks and in lower price point that makes it acceptable for daily drinking.

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Cheap party rum, available every store. Must mix with lime, too sweet.
