Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Good as the price for it, best spiced rum i tasted yet.

Maybe the cheapest rum you can drink without mixing and enjoy it. Not great, even with cola. Ideal flash rum for travelling.
Now I bought the bacardi Oakheart cooler so maybe that why couldn't even taste the spices it was stright up terrible

Blev ret overrasket over denne Rom.
Dejlig sødme, passer godt sammen med cola.
Har dog kun prøvet den blandet med cola.

From all the ones I have tried, I beleive this is one of their best creations. I don´t like white rums so most are even out of the questions. Great for mixing with coke. Refreshing.

Not to bad when mixed with coke.
But straight its a real letdown. Never drinking this straight again.

I stay away from the bacardi name..but this rum is sweet.. smooth.. and flavorful..even if you dont like bacardi rums. you should give this a try..will keep a bottle of this around for sure

Not bad mixed with cola and lime, but has some very bitter spice flavours and the added sweetness doesn't really cover it up. The smokey maple flavour shines through more if you use less and makes for a good mixing rum. Not that bad overall, but feels like this is what happens when a rum pretends to be a bourbon.

A dark smooth spiced rum. I tasted this at a party one time and had a bunch of negative thoughts prior to the tasting. I enjoyed at the party and decided (due to price!) to purchase a bottle. I am very pleased that I did. Not only is it a very smooth rum, but has a nice flavor as well. Not overly sweet, a good balance of vanilla and cinnamon. I drank the bottle on the rocks with Coke. I did my neat tasting and again was very surprised how smooth it was. I feel this rum can stand on its own with the rest of the pack.
