Bacardi Oakheart

This is one of my favourite spiced rum so far, lovely vanilla notes, smooth on the palate lovely after taste.

Nice Brown color and vanilla scent. Looks and taste like liquid honey, very sweet. This rum is best on it's own or with a cup of strong black coffe. With Coke it gets a little too sweet. Suppose you could add some lemon to The drink to reduce The sweetness.

La prima adulmecare am simtit ceva vanilie , foarte putin dulceag si ceva aroma de fum. am introdus apoi nasul in pahar si in afara de ceva vanilie m a izbit un puternic miros de fum - parea interesant , intrigant chiar ; am gustat si am simtit ceva dulceata placuta , deloc invaziva , si la fel ca in miros vanilie si fum; la a doua inghititura am simtit un si mai puternic miros de fum care era placut , si am continuat treptat sa l miros si sa l degust pana m am innecat cu ... fum... devine innecacios clar , si de la un rom care imi parea de 7 la inceput a scazut treptat destul de rapid ..
NU cred ca voi mai cumpara vreodata acest rom si mi e foarte greu sa l notez; ii dau 5 doar pentru senzatia placuta de la inceputul degustarii, de fiecare data incepe cu o senzatie placuta , apoi o ia la vale rapid .. si cred ca gresala este ca aroma asta de fum se simte a fi falsa nu infuzata cumva prin butoi sau de la carbunii folositi la filtrare )) . daca nu era atat de agresiv si innecacios ar fi putut fi un rom interesant, imi pare un esec ..
daca vreti rom condimentat incercati kraken ( favoritul meu la aceasta categorie) sau plantation Original Dark ( care merge foarte bine si in mixuri) .

best tasting spiced rum all around. Why the name change?

This was a dash of Oakheart and a whole Lotta Coke.

Best choice if no SJ, Kraken or Red Leg is available

It taste just weird, very strange for a spiced rum, even the captain which is vile is better than this horrid mainstream rum

On par with Captain Morgan but it's Bacardi and they are known for cheap spirits (hangover), so I would recommend captain morgan or better still sailor jerry instead unless this is a lot cheaper and you don't mind a headache.

Simple and cheap.
Pure: strong end, but good drinkable

Very good for rum and cokes, extremely smooth surprisingly. I have drank it straight on ice and been completely happy with it. Not as good as top shelf brands, but for a cheap vanilla rum you can’t go wrong.
