United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Oakheart is probably the best spiced rum for this value.

This is the best spiced rum in this price level category I've ever tasted. Available almost anywhere, reasonable price and far better taste than other marketing heavily supported competition.

I dont like Bacardi but this one is very good. Strong oak and vanila flavours. Smokiness. Everything is well balanced. Sweet quite a lot but reasonably to spiced party rum. Woody oak flavors seems to be artifical not natural. Very smooth in throat.
with a not unpleasant aftertaste. I might buy it again sometime.
This a good rum for just mixing with cola. I think the flavors just lend itself to mixing. Particularly at it's pricepoint. Plus, I find that it is not as sweet as some other spiced rums.
Very smooth. Goes great on the rocks or straight up.

Goode in a coke. Like it a lot. I mostly drink my rum with a coke.

In terms of rum and cokes, this is one of my preferred options. I find a richer oaky taste from your Captains and coke, and a much more pleasant finish then the abrasive Morganβs swallow. For the price range, the taste follows for mixing rums.

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. Itβs a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

nice mixing rum... perfect with coke and lime. And pretty cheap!
