it's very smooth and a little sweet. Perfectly blended. One of my favorites.

By chance, I discovered rum at the Boquete Blues and Jazz Festival, this year( 2018), at the night’s jam session. With the unlimited premium drink ticket I thought anejo was a term for tequila. After way too many drinks( neat) I stumbled to my room. Absolutely no hangover in the morning. I found my exclusive drink of choice!
Few months later I had the smarts to order Centenario 30 yr at Grano d’oro restaurant in Costa Rica. I was blown away. It was the most complex spirit I ever tasted. Unbelievable that 40% spirit can be this magnificent.
Since then I have tasted several premium rums. So far this tops them all. I did just come back with Centenario Real.

Firstly sweet and little bit spicy and after there is taste of rum. You will feel it in mouth next 10 minutes.

Smooth and silk, well if silk tasted of heaven.
Seriously, full body and full taste. Complex liquid amber

Best rum I have had until now

The best of Centenario. Hard to find but a pleasure ... a treasure The difference between C20 and C25 is clear and lies in the complexity and length. C20 maybe focuses more on the sweet side of rum. C25 goes far beyond : oak and brown sugar, length and diversity in tastes.

My other reason after golf, to go to Florida.
I buy one bottle a year , and grudgingly share with close friends.

The best rum I ever had. Very delicious taste. The price is higher but it's equal to that quality.

I get this beauty from colleagues to my mariage. It is super smooth and complex. On the nose you can smell oak, butter, nuts, caramel and the same comes with taste. It is not that sweet like his younger brothers but more oaky with long ending. Simply magnificent.

I really love the Centenario 20, 25, and XX, so I decided to open this bottle for my 75th review. It's truly exceptional as well.

Smells of caramel, molasses, oak, and vanilla. This is slightly less sweet but more complex than the Centenario 20 and 25, but it is still very nicely sweet (I have a bit of a sweet tooth, which is why I like rum to begin with). Another exceptional offering from Ron Centenario!

Pro tip - The Centenario rums are one of the rums that I've noticed get a lot better after they've aeriated. Let them sit at least 10 min after pouring before reviewing/drinking.

Enjoyed a bottle of Ron Centenario 30y while vacationing in Costa Rica. Ron Centenario 30 year old is easily available in all the local grocery stores at $110 a bottle, which is a very good value. Cardboard box is nice and sturdy. Oval bottle is very nice and high end. Deep amber color. The initial flavor is very nice and complex with strong toffee flavors but the taste turns into mild whisky like quickly. Very mild burn at the end. I can now easily see why Ron Centenario 30y has been scoring so high marks.

Another beauty from Costa Rica's Centenario. Top of the line. Full bodied, and creamy smooth with caramel, coffee and vanilla tones.

Sugar: Estimated at 42 GPL. A step up from the 25 year version of the rum. Similar taste profile as the 25 year old but this rum is so much smoother and because of that the sweetness of this rum doesn't overpower the taste. Oak, vanilla, caramel, smoke, and what I got from this rum was the taste of Cherries? In my review of the 25 year old version I listed Christmas Cake as one of my tastes and aromas. That's present in this rum as well. Is this rum worth twice the cost of the 25 year old version? I have a couple bottles of the 25 year old, but as I am focusing on building the best rums in the world. If you don't have a bottle then treat yourself to one. YOLO.

Centenario 25y was already very good level for me and 30y is even one step better. Nice aroma with molase, wood and sugarcane tomes. Very smooth taste, almost no burning. Complex body with more layers and long warm aftertaste. Only one weaker point is price. For 150 USD you would expect something "special", but this is "only" very weell heavy sweeter rum 🙂

That's what I love about rum, sweet but very well balanced, dark aftertones, very smooth.

A realy great rum. Not as sweet as the 25 years. Balanced with a long finish and taste of tree nuts.

...guter Rum. Leider preislich zu hoch angesetzt, wenn man ihn mit dem 25 jährigen vergleicht, welcher geschmacklich nicht wirklich schwächer ist, jedoch viel weniger kostet.
