The first thing I noticed upon opening the bottle was the aroma. Fantastic! It gave hint of the sweet flavors contained therein. Upon sipping it I noticed it was a little more viscous than most rums. Then the flavors washed over the tongue. Maybe it is just me but there seem to be a bit of an orange zest to it along with kind of a vanilla flavor. Also definitely a strong burn which lasts a little while but nothing sudden and drastic. Definitely a very recommendable sipping rum. My one disappointment about it was the bottle. One would think that such a fine rum would be worthy of an equally fine and ornate bottle but the "seal" below the neck is just a cheap decal doing a poor imitation of a wax seal and the label is just plastic adhered with glue. At least there is a real cork and not a screw cap. [NOTE: Now if I could just lay my hands on a bottle of Ron Centenario 30-Year. Test the law of diminishing returns.]

Picked up at the airport in Costa Rica with the 30 and 20 and love it!

I would put this rum against most at this price range.

Very smooth with really nice aroma. Caramel flavor with slight vanilla, exactly what I like.

Minimal to no burn, only in the end. Sweet, in a good way, smooth and soft, warming up. Apple pie taste with a woody ending. Ideal for the winter. Nice amber color in the glass.

Ahogy a többi Centenarionak ennek is kell a levegőzés. Ha hagysz neki időt, az alkohol sem fog kilógni és jobban élvezhető lesz a különleges ízvilága. Talán a 20-as jobban ízlik, de csak minimálisan.

Very sweet sipping solera, no edges, missing the salt, the character, somehow boring

Vůně ovocná, vanilka, dřevo, koření.
Sladká, ovocně(jablko, hruška)-dřevitá, kořenitá chuť, s lehkou čokoládou.
Dochuť delší, dřevitá, sladší, lehce štiplavá.
Skvělý spiced rum 😂

Nice complexity, smooth and bold with a perfect balance sweetness and wonderful aroma

Beautiful dark amber color. Aroma just too much alcohol even after 20 minutes and swirling glass periodically. This is a very sweet rum with slight but absolutely tolerable burn (maybe less with ice but I prefer to drink all rums neat). It is not as complex as I would have hoped as the sweetness seems to dominate. Nonetheless, the quality does stand out but for less $$$ I will take zafra 21 year, el pasador gran reserve or Appleton 12 year tasks cask over this. Don't get me wrong, it is a really good rum but just over priced.

Very complex and fruity. Sweet, but not too heavy. The price is a bit too high compared to others with a similar quality of taste. Good if you can get it at a discount.
