Great hints of vanilla add to the flavor of this great tasting and well aged rum. Haven’t had many runs aged this long but this and the 30-year are my favorites by far!
Tastes alongside ED 21. Aroma is super deep and complex, more so than the El Dorado to start with. Taste is strong brown sugar and complex. This is absolutely delicious and the first go-around we both liked it better than Dorado 21. On last pass, I thought Dorado was slightly more deep and complex, with this one being more brown sugar forward and not quite as complex. Either way, let’s call it a tie. But this bottle goes for $60 instead of $100 like Dorado. 95+
Skvělej rum, za mě podobná liga jako Zacapa 23, takže v pořádku.
Very sweet. Smooth. Do not mix. Not sure it’s a ton better than the 20 yr.
Hard to find in some regions, but I've been gifted this one twice and it's quite good. Has a great balance of sweetness and kick. Extremely smooth. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
Nice aroma full, warm big smooth and complex taste with many layers. Long aftertaste. Alomst 10 points, but I need have some space for Centenario 30y 😀
Taste 8/10. As many other said the taste is similar with Zacapa 23 but better, smoother-balance - older rums here in taste. But Against Zacapa Limitada 2015 this is little bit less good in my opinion. Overall Zacapa rums have better complexity for me than Ron Centenario rums (with many similarities). A very little whiskey i can feel. But they blend it very well & whisky characteristics dont overhelming so no problem & it is a bit over priced i payed 88€ !! Dont get me wrong this is very good sweet drink not dry and not for most hardcore whisky lovers.
It's my first review on this community, it's definitely one of the best Ron I've ever drink, I'm not a sweet fan, but this one is very nice, a bit of Vanilla.
Very smooth. Low burn. Molasses and banana. Got it in NYC for $75! My new favourite.
There are often times a lot of dispute about rum lovers, when it comes to solera rum. Something everyone can agree on is, that we all love a good tasting rum. This is one of those.
Nose: Caramel, wood and a hint of tropical fruit
Taste: Vanilla, oak, citrus and a small hint of warm and sweet bananas in the long aftertaste
Overall: Maybe one of the best solera rums, that I have come across. The taste from the cask is clearly present, which makes this a smooth and lovely rum from start to (long) finish.
Smooth and flavorful with no harsh burn or heat allowing you to enjoy what the master has created for you. A bit on the sweet side affording this the accolade of being a nice dessert rum. Christmas cake, baking spice, vanilla and some oakiness shine through creating a pleasing rum presentation.
One of the more expensive rums however, having said this, it is a 25 year old!
Enjoy this one neat...
Beautiful mahogany in the glass, a little darker than the 20 - year - old.
In the nose, hearty woody scents with caramel, leather, tobacco, everything really heavy and dark.
On the palate, the flavors patter on the tongue, very complex, from everything a little sugar cane, coconut, banana, papaya, pineapple, melon, pear, apple, caramel, dark chocolate, wood, resin ... ... ..
The finish is great, all the aromas resonate, the cocoa lasts wonderfully long.
One of the best Ron in the world (sweet rum category) as well as the 20 + 30 - yo. For beginners and connoisseurs.
Centenario 25 has been a mainstay of my liquor cabinet for the past couple of years. I usually find this this extraordinary rum for under $70 in my local liquor stores! It's a great choice for impressing guest.
I like it better than the 30 year centenario. But that's just my taste.
De geur heeft tonen van tabak en tropische fruit. In je mond vind je vanille, zoete vruchten en hout terug.
Kortom een heerlijke rum die je geproefd moet hebben.
A very nice rum for the price, great aroma , smooth one or two ice cubes and you are ready to go. Like it better than there 30 yr bottle.
While I have enjoyed this Ron Centenario, it did not blow me away as it has most other raters; but I suppose that happens on occasion. Perhaps just a little too sweet for me. I ranked it as a 6.5 on my scale.
Nose: less caramel than the 20-year old, but more groovy oak wood. Subtle, mature.
Palate: slightly oily, very smooth and rounded, very long lasting aftertaste. No sharpness. Also a very nice one, maybe even slightly better than the 20-year old.
The 30 year is better however this one is totally worth the bang for your buck. Sweet but not candy. Balanced to a close perfection of what I consider ideal. Almost anyone will enjoy this rum unless you don’t like a sweeter rum
Nice Rum, very sweet, but a little bit too much alkohol. I like the Centenario 30 much more!
je to trochu dele co jsem mel tento skvost takze nedokazu presne ohodnotit.
presto to to byl jeden z vrcholu hned po 30y
The after taste is long and pleasant. Really easy to drink. A fantastic sipping rum. Don't even dare to mix this with anything.
It´s probably the best deal you can get for 40US... it´s a semi sweet rum with vivid notes of vainilla and caramel. Its really a smooth rum.
yes, it's probably higher on the sugar side, but it's rich, full bodied and with alot of vanilla and complexity - along the lines of Zacapa 23 but better IMO,
