This is so good, so sweet, so delicious, smother it over someone's body if you can afford it.
Picked this up at a bargain price and was pleased with how it tasted. Flavoursome but fairly light.
Bought this with a 20 year old in the San Jose airport. Loved the 20 in Costa Rica and find the 25 very similar. Top shelf rum so no one else can get at it.
I bought this bottle after I finish the 20 year centenario.
My expectation was probably to high after the orgasm with the 20 years.
Nice bottle with a good price for 25 years rum.In the glass the color is splendid amber, the density is excellent like the mark on the glass wall.... since here 10 points.
Nose: first impact the great flavor of real melassa rum, love it, after the fruit is growing slowly mango, vanilla, banana, super light lime/orange, but vanish too fast !!! And immediately the alcohol jump in the tong , but the flavor is not pure is little burn ash, not my favorite, running out too fast.
After: very long lasting with all the great flavor, the ash disappear ! Great rum
It's a high class rum.
Sweet and full of flavor.
The inside of my mouth is a jewel box.
in dieser preis klasse der beste rum den ich bisher probiert habe! süss geschmackvoll angenehm langanhaltender geschmack!
Great hints of vanilla add to the flavor of this great tasting and well aged rum. Haven’t had many runs aged this long but this and the 30-year are my favorites by far!
Tastes alongside ED 21. Aroma is super deep and complex, more so than the El Dorado to start with. Taste is strong brown sugar and complex. This is absolutely delicious and the first go-around we both liked it better than Dorado 21. On last pass, I thought Dorado was slightly more deep and complex, with this one being more brown sugar forward and not quite as complex. Either way, let’s call it a tie. But this bottle goes for $60 instead of $100 like Dorado. 95+
Skvělej rum, za mě podobná liga jako Zacapa 23, takže v pořádku.
Very sweet. Smooth. Do not mix. Not sure it’s a ton better than the 20 yr.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not very impressed. Think twice if you prefer dry or pungent rums. You'll like this if your in the El Dorado camp. For the price I would have liked the ABV to at least be 42%. Bottled at 40% with this amount of sweetness is not for me and it's obviously catered to an audience that prefers smooth over interesting. There is some depth here but I just keep getting distracted by sugar and cola always rushes to mind.
Being a solera system the '25' years can be a bit deceiving, sure there is rum at the bottom of the stack thats been around for 25 years but it's always mingling with spirits trickling down from the top. I'm okay with this method but it always seems to produce overly sweet end results. Thinking of Papas Pilar and a triple cream sherry that uses the pyramid. And I'm not certain that sugar hasn't been added as well. Given the sweetness I can only assume it has and if it hasn't then it's a bit of an achievement how Centenario got to this point of cloy unadulterated.
There are far far better rums at this price. Especially if you like distillers such as Foursquare or Richland. Wish I could return the Centenario and get one of those. Looks like I need to work on my time machine.
