This one is soooo great. Sweet, but not too sweet. Just for me. And soft, so soft. Hint of caramel and vanilla.
I like to taste 25 and 30 years old also, but I don´t know if I have give them afer that 11 or something. :)

Dieser Rum hat mich schwer begeistert, er ist mild und komplex, angenehm süss und fruchtig. Wirklich ein toller Rum, mit feinen Vanillenoten, ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältniss.

Compare to his 25years old brother, this Centenario 20y is clearer and has a nice brown/red color.
The taste is sweet from the beginning till the end with caramel and vanilla aromas. The aftertaste is quite short most probably due to the softness of this Centenario. Anyway, it is really a pleasant ron which is definitively a good value for money.

Spitzenrum! Herrlich lecker! Nussig, süß und würzig, dabei wunderbar mild, kaum Alkohol und einen runden Abgang. Immer eine Sünde wert!

Beautiful dark, mahogany color. Sweet caramel, fruit, honey, vanilla and amond aroma. Very sweet in mouth with pastry taste, caramel. The finish is not very long and doesn't burn. I prefer the 25 Year but it's a very good one !

Excellent rum, beautiful color and bottle. The flavor is excellent, hints of cherry, vanilla a touch of oak and just the right amount of sweetness. People who don't like sweeter rums may not like it heck they probably shouldn't be drinking rum in the first place. But this is a very tasty beverage on the rocks or neat depending on your mood. Smooth long enjoyable finish. Just buy a bottle.

Ich würde diesen Rum mit dem Zacapa 23 vergleichen. Ich finde beide sind von der Qualität gleich auf, auch etwas ähnlich... Der Negra hält im Abgang aber noch länger an.

Bought this rum out of curiousity. No regrets, it just tastes and smells different than any other rum i've tried. Really smooth, little spicey and sweet, therefore a great sipping rum.
Delicious! Won't give it a 9 because I haven't tried his older brother, the 25,,,,,,,,,yet!!
Edit april 7 2017 ::: finished another bottle and willing to give it a solid 9!!! A great rum everytime!!
P.s. the leather version some say is better and hard to find,,, Well,, I've got one and intent to keep it un-attached as long as I can resist opening it!
You guys will be the first to know.

When you pay for the bottle you accordingly assign expectations.... they are all met. I would not say it is unique, but it will absolutely not disapoint, and by that and don't mean mediocre... quite the opposite, it is a better than good one. It has a lot of competition, it is sweet and similar to the products of similarly priced brands like Plantation, Angostura, El Dorado, etc. If you know these, this one is very similar; again, very enjoyable, but not unique.
