Costa Rica | Aged | 40% ABV
Ron Centenario 20-Year rum is produced from Costa Rican sugar cane which is turned into molasses before aging in American white oak barrels up to 20 years using the solera aging system.
The company producing Ron Centenario 20-Year rum used to be named Seagram de Costa Rica, but in 2002 changed its name to Centenario Internacional. The rum wasn't sold outside of Costa Rica until 2007.

High value, low complexity. Something for sweet girls or with sweet girls.
Not our favourite rum somehow at all but every taste is different
I like 25y and very similar 20y - both are smooth and delicious rums.
This is my favorite rum. It is nice and sweet overall but weβll balanced. I love the flavor and the lingering after taste. Itβs not a sweet and doesnβt coat my mouth as much as other sweet rums do (Diplomatico). It is pretty hard to find where I live in Chicago so when I do see it Iβm always sure to stock up on a few bottles. Highly recommend.
This rum is a Solera-style blend from 6 to 20 year old rums, made in Costa Rica. When reviewing the past ratings of this rum, my expectations were high. And it met the expectations!
The rum has a deep amber to copper color. In the nose there is sugar cane, vanilla, the richness of dark caramel and the floral aromas of honey. The taste starts with a sharp touch of sweet alcohol and immediately a deep and complex flavor takes over. What an experience! Like in the nose, first some honey and then the depth of dark caramel. A long, sweet -but not too sweet-, deep aftertaste. It is so enjoyable, you would be drinking this over and over.
Smooth balanced rum, very enjoyable, top 3 best rums i have tried so far.
Agree with those rateing it higher than the 25y and 30y. This is my all time favorite! π¨π·β€

It sits right there with my favorite PLANTATION XO 20 as my TOP 5 Best Rums Period!
Let me tell you something... You don't have to spend $100+ to experience the tastiest Rums available! This is FANTASTIC!!! Smooth, Sweet, Delicious. Fruit, Honey, and Tropical Paradise in a bottle.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The taste of wood is normally not something you find in solera-rums, but somehow it hits the back of the palate in this 20-year solera.
Nose: Very sweet and smooth with hints of tropical fruit and raw molasses
Taste: Sweet, but balanced dominated by caramel, tropical fruits and with a hint of wood
Overall: A little sweet, but one of the better 40abv soleras around.
