Dieser rum ähnelt sehr dem plantation 20th. Der Geruch ist würziger
Very smooth a light finish, I feel citrus and tropical fruite.. Sweet, but well balanced.
Very enjoyable rum. On the rocks was the way to go for me. My rum drinking friends enjoyed this one as well.

If you like sweet rums, still you have better options...
Sehr sanfter und süßer rum. perfekt in Kombination mit dünner Schokolade
En lækker sød duft af karamel.
Smager af vanilie og karamel.
Has it all: vanilla, chocolate, cocos, cinnamon, fruit with orange. Nice sweetness and no hard alkohol taste. Nose flavour is a treat itself. Perfect colour too. So far my Favorit. Stright only, handwarm.
Très beau rhum typé Amérique du Sud, note de vanille, bois, caramel...très belle découverte. Un indispensable à posséder en cave
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Almost an 8....almost...

The color of this rum is a rich mahogany by way of deep dark amber. Delightful aroma revealing a sweetness to it.
Tasting it reveals it to be sweet. Very sweet. I haven't tested it scientifically but it tastes as if there has been sugar or some sweetening agent added to this rum. And that's a shame. It just seems a tad too sweet and thus I deduct a point. Otherwise this would have been a solid 8...perhaps a 9. However this does not make it a BAD rum. Just a little too sweet for my personal tastes. Take it for what it's worth. It does qualify as a sipping rum HOWEVER I would consider it one to have as an after-dinner treat. A dessert rum if you will.
NOTE: I rated the Ron Centenario 25-year a "9" and still am of the opinion that it is a great rum but the 20-year seems sweeter to me. I realize that sometimes rums will vary from batch to batch and perhaps my 20 came from a batch that was sweeter than intended.
On an aside, this might be a good rum to use in rum balls. I haven't tried it but it seems to be well suited for such a purpose.
The sweetness seems to be aimed at the American consumer. If sugar or some sweetening agent were indeed added, I wonder what it would have tasted like without it.
