Centenario 12-Year

Nice, rich colour. Tastes ok, I guess. For me it has a slightly unpleasant agricole mustiness, but that might just be me. I can’t say I exactly enjoyed this, but it wasn’t terrible either. With that faint praise....

Very sweet rum, not harsh on the after taste. Can be sipped, especially with a little ice. The 7 rating is partially based upon the price to quality ratio. Good rum in the $33 range.

Dobrý rum, který sice rozhodně neurazí. Na druhou stranu, není to typ rumu, který bych musel koupit znovu. / Good rum, which certainly won't offend. On the other hand, it's not the type of rum I would have to buy again.

A local store seems to have bought into centenario, multiple ages are now in stock. My bottle looks much different than the photo, but taste wise pretty good. Nothing no really stands out to me flavor profile wise, pretty balanced. Was planning on using this for d&s but not a bad sipper on ice. Next up some of the more aged versions

Dnešní ochutnávku rodiny Centenario jsem si dosti dlouho plánoval. Po C7 a C9 přišla na řadu C12.
Je lepší jako C9, je nevím jak to popsat, prostě rumová a velice málo ovocná. Nejspíše budu muset udělat další ochutnávku.

Vůně: příjemná, sladká, výraznější než mladší 9y
Chuť: plnější, sladší, výraznější než mladší 7y
Opětovná koupě: ano

Nice rum for drinking on ice or as a high end mixer. After having 20, 25, and 30 it’s hard to Tate this any higher. Don’t see it around anymore that’s a shame I would buy it again. Fond memories.

Got the bottle as present and I was quiet excited but this rum proved to be rather boring. Taste and aroma are fine but lacks character. For the similar money Diplomatico Reserva is definitely better choice.
