A local store seems to have bought into centenario, multiple ages are now in stock. My bottle looks much different than the photo, but taste wise pretty good. Nothing no really stands out to me flavor profile wise, pretty balanced. Was planning on using this for d&s but not a bad sipper on ice. Next up some of the more aged versions

I first got this rum a few years ago on vacation in Costa Rica. I immediately fell in love with it, rich taste and a smooth finish. It is great on the rocks or mixed with coke/ coconut milk. If possible pour some into a freshly opened coconut for an authentic Costa Rica taste.

El ron costarricense, es agradable, poco original, se deja tomar con un sabor dulzón. Lo tomo en Cuba Libre.

For me close to a perfect Rum. Similar to Flor de Cana 12, very smooth, caramel, marzipan, decent wood, maybe a little thin but still great work. Looking forward to the older ones.

I did try the 20 year Centenario half year ago and scored it 9, this one is also really good. This 12 year is a little bit thinner then the 20 year. It becomes much better efter letting it brief for at least 20 minutes.

This one is okay for an everyday sip, but unfortunately has nothing special. You certainly find better for this amount of money.

It was the end of the bottle when tasted and was only able to pour 2cl. The bottle was opened for quite some time so very difficult to assess the real potential.

Vanilla and powerful black pepper notes stood out though

This is a smooth rum great for sipping on the rocks

This is exactly what I think of when I think of rum. It’s a decent enough sipper, and a good mixer. It’s got a bit more burn than I prefer, but not overwhelmingly. It also lingers for a while with some grassy notes way at the end with the sweeter notes at the beginning. Overall a good rum.

Priced right at $30. No distinctive flavors, but not bad. Mixed and straight about the same.

Very smooth, dry, balanced, unsweet. It doesn't rich in aroma or taste, but everything just in place and vanilla is outstanding good. I did like it for sipping and also it will wort for cocktails. Very nice strict rum while you're fed up with taste and aromas in your collection.
