Sampled this rum at Cardiff Rum Festival.
It's m matured in American, French Limousin and Slovenian casks in a Solera system.
With a fruity, chocolatey and slightly nutty nose. It's rich with hints of fruit and chocolate in the mouth. A superb sipper!
Bardzo delikatny, przyjemny do picia. Piękny kolor oraz ekskluzywna butelka. Może brakuje mu czegoś co wyróżniało by go z tłumu, czegoś urzekającego. Natomiast kompozycja, smak, posmak to wzór tego jak powinien smakować dobry rum.
So, i went to a rumshop out of town. We talk rum for a bit and chattet. At Some point She points to this beutifull bottle claiming its the Best rom in the World. Looking at the bottle i wasn't impressed. I 40% abv solera rum from? Not that special Looking at the bottle.
Wow was i gladly surprised. A Smooth and full bodied rum with great aroma and a Nice long finish.i must admit its a Really good rum. But to say its the Best rom in the World? I wouldn't quite say. I Think its a little sweet and i would have prefered a little more abv.
Unverfälscht im Geschmack. Top rum sehr fein keine schärfe
Great and really good taste for me, nice color and finish but higher price, 8/10
The color is exquisite. Great nose. Has a wonderful smokey quality that appears to have been finished in charred barrels. Vanilla and nutmeg with a hint of maple and allspice. Definitely not too sweet. Low but soulful burn and then more smoke and campfire notes. Smooth across the pallet. Complex with a strong lingering finish. 8.5 for sure. Extraordinary rum. Slightly better neat than on ice but excellent either way.
Love the smell and taste. It is sweet but also with hints of spices. You definitely taste toffee, caramel and vanilla. You should give this one a go.
Relatively sweet yet burny Peruvian rum. Sadly smells like Bumbu spiced (yet better), which is perhaps the only rum I have ever vomited after drinking it (long story but basically truthful), -1 for that. If you dont know Bumbu rum, think Marama from Fiji. ___ The taste: spices, sherry, cinnamon and perhaps vanilla and/or honey. Feels half-way to "spiced rum". The packing is reasonably classy but not so fancy to regret opening. Overall a good rum but from Peruvian ones still arguably #3 only I tasted so far (both Millonario and especially Vizcaya are better choices). It is still recommendable, though. Peru, what a country for rum fans! ___ EDIT: gets better and better, easy sipper and everyone seem to like it. [7,5/10]
Its quite floral and a little sickly smelling.
"There is a lot of sweet toffee and caramel on the nose. Hint of butterscotch. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
