United States | Dark | 40% ABV
Originally named Bacardi Black, this rum is now called Bacardi Select. The recipe is the same, which consists of a blend of aged rums, charcoal-filtered once before resting for at least 4 years in American White Oak.

Just slightly better than its pale brother. Luckily this one has been made since some restaurants only have this and the pale on.
Not bad rum, but as for me this rum is too sweet. But girls like it! :3

Just another bacardi rum, nothing much to it. throw it in a mix and youll be fine.
This is not a real black rum--it's a colored version of Bacardi's White. It's a bit sweeter than the white, which masks some of the alcohol predominance. A very poor rum and a poor value.
Opzich is hij wel okΓ© maar er zit een nasmaak aan die echt heel vreemd is een beetje chemisch ofzo moet te zeggen

Very rough aftertaste, but good as a mixed drink.

Still not one of the best but already one rum with good pure taste. Nevertheless I rather have mixed with coke. Always good to have it in the bar.

Quite special with a tar like nose. It tastes good when mixing it with coke and some ice but not when drinking it neat.
"hint of plum/prune and a little hint of treacle..."

More of a cane juice/agricole grassy note.
"There is a little hint of plum/prune and a little hint of treacle. Tastes quite bitter and too dry."

This is not a special one or anything like that... hence not the best taste even in cocktails...
