This stuff is not the greatest to take neat, I am more than willing to admit, but for mixes, this stuff is incredible. Like the rest of Botran's line, this is a very straightforward not extra sweet rum. There are tons of others out there like this, surely, but for some reason when you mix this with anything, it gives the exact correct flavour of rum to it. You can't mix too strong with this because it just makes everything taste better.

You could get something significantly aged and mix it with similar results, but that would be a waste. Where I am, which is nowhere near Guatemala, I can get this in a 1.75L bottle at a warehouse store for the equivalent of $22. So it's tantamount to getting normal sized bottles for about $9.50. It would be a steal at double the price. If this stuff is available I do not see any reason to ever buy a different rum for mixing drinks.

Not too much sweet, big body missing but for the price (10 Eur 0,7l bottle) it is perfect for visitors and mixing.

Calidad relación/precio excelente. Un trago para mezclar, inclusive se deja tomar en las rocas, aunque no es muy recomendable. Algo dulce en paladar, pero se siente mucho el alcohol. Queda muy bien en los cuba libres.

Not complex or very flavorful with a slight burn. This would be considered a introductory gold mixer. Better than Bacardi and many of the other golds in its price range $18. Light amber color that just doesn't represent itself very well, but it is rather expected since it is not aged very long.

A very cheap rum that's strictly a mixer for a light tasting cocktails. Nothing of distinction on the nose or straight

This is a decent rum, but nothing spectacular. Mix with coke and you'll be fine.

Nothing very special, but I'm glad to own it. It worth tasting.

This replaced the original black label when they did a rebranding effort a few years back. This rum was why Botran nearly died out! Such a horrible bien and agregarte, si glad it didn't last very long.
