Botran Anejo 12-Year

Tasted this rum in Guatemala before discovering Zacapa and the wonderful world of rums.

Tastes very alcoholy, and not much more. Good for a mixer.

Boa opção pelo custo benefício. Rum um pouco rebelde, porém, com ótimas notas doces.

This is not a sweet rum. It tastes a bit like pavement.
This would be good in a drink, or perhaps on ice with Squirt (yum!)

Stated 12 year Solsra, tried it neat and it was hard to drink. For medicinal purposes only, but was fine as a mixer with Coke, Ginger Ale, club soda. Not much more to add Botran has never been one of my favorites.

Lehounký rum, který bych pil spíše na objem než na vychutnávání, ale je čistý a když člověk nemá očekávání, tak dokáže potěšit.

Tasted at Laka Lono on 1/14/20. Pours an almost orange amber. Aroma of strawberries. Buttery mouthfeel. Treacle flavors. Coconut notes. Toasted Caramel warmth. Very nice. I should remember to buy a bottle of this.

just a little bit more expensive than the anejo 8 and the reserva blanca (half of a diplomatico reserva exclusiva, both 12 yo solera), banana on the nose, this one is good neat too, vanilla and some spiciness ...
the first real sipper from botran, same distillery as zacapa but with no sugar added, a honest rum (but it s too solera, it not have too much to say)
my rating was 6, now i added 1 point because i tried a cuba libre with it and it was sooo good, very vanilla forward !

Toto je suchsi rum, a treba ho dlho prevetrat v pohari, lebo inak ma velmi surovu liehovu chut. Na samotne pitie by som volil v tejto cene urcite ine, aj mladsie rumy, lebo tu ta 12ka nie je dostatocna.
Na dobre drinky je vsak absolutne vyhovujuci!
