Smooth, a bit of oak. Fine sipping rum. Enjoy it with one ice cube.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice rum. Very smooth and a delicate flavour. But having had the Abuelo 12yo I was a touch disappointed. Even if they were the same price I would go for the 12yo every time. Glad I tried it though.

I had high expectations for this one and was somewhat disappointed at first. As mentioned before, it's complex with lots of flavor and definitely a great choice. Only knock on this one is its price imho.

Elegante amberkleurige rum uit Panama. met intense tonen van toffee, geroosterde kokos, karamel, specerijen en banaan.

Make no mistake, this is a premium sipper and one that you would be proud to own. It's a top notch rum. One of the best I have had. In my top 5 so far

A wonderful spicy nose and a dry spicy taste; I like!!!! This is up there with panamonte; the only thing stopping me from rating this the same is panamonte is more balanced. I like a touch of sweet in my rums. The dryness in abeulo is overpowering; but still worth the money.

Complex with a LOT of flavour! Others describe it very well. I could see my self in an old room, in an old chair and sipping this fine rum in front of a fireplace....

The Abuelo Centuria is a great rum. It has a uniquely spicy nose, with oak, vanilla, caramel, and bourbon. Taste follows the nose with that unique pepper spiciness that is really interesting.

Let eftersmag af røg, eg. Godt med vanilie og brun sukker.

After months of looking for it, I finally got a bottle of the Centuria. The color is dark brown. long lasting legs on glass. Aroma reminds me of vanilla and caramel. Somewhat sweet but not over the top. Very long finish. If it wasn't so difficult to find (and expensive), this could be the best sipping rum ever.

i recently discovered the Ron Abuelo brand, and had my local liquor vendor order the Centuria. Velvety, opulent mouth feel, lingering flavors of caramels, tropical spice...simply one of the finest liquids i have ever had the privilege to consume!

A premium rum! Well balanced, smooth, sweet tasty rum. Virtually no after burn with a nice meidum to long finish. I suggest that you drink this alone or with very special friends who appreciate fine rum. Whilst doing this take some time to appreciate what you are drinking and saviour the moment. Must add that the presentation box is very nice too

Sugar: 26-30 gpl. Smooth, rich with all kinds of flavour and an overall feeling of luxury. Oak, caramel, vanilla, smoke, spices, a hint of sherry. Really well balanced rum. It's expensive but go ahead treat yourself to some luxurious rum. As one rum aficionado so aptly said, "when you drink this rum, you know your ship has come in".

The nose is a little oaky with notes of burnt brow sugar and lovely cake cream. The palette is refined and exceptionally smooth. A swirl around the mouth open up notes of molasse, vanilla, oak and subtle spicy pepper. There's just enough sweetness to balance the rum perfectly. Very drinkable. The slightly unreasonable price tag drops this rum from 9 to 8 though.

I'll say as I did the "Opthimus 18-Year Rum":
"A smooth and delightful rum, with a little alcohol bite, so it needs to get some air in the glass before drinking. The smell/taste/aftertaste is so nice, that you will have to lock the bottle away, or you will find yourself drinking it everyday."

But that's a good thing :)

The best rum I have ever had. Complex and smooth with lovely hints of vanilla.

Cannot say it better than Forbes Magazine. Read their review.

When I first tried the Centuria, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. But I warmed up to it a lot better the second time and so on and so on. I have truly grown to enjoy it with much delight! I truly love it :)
