very smooth taste, a Little bit sweetness. nice made.
This is my best sipping rum so far. You can small the oak barrels it had been aged in strait when it hits the glass. Use that time to smell all the aromas and completely that this rum contains. Look at it's dark body and how is elegantly moves around your glass like a fine bodied black women. The only way to enjoy this rum is NEAT as soon as it hits you lips you should taste Oak, Molasses, Vanilla and other fines flavors that your pallet would pick up. This rum has made me rise my standards for rum drinking (If it not 12 years + don't make the cut), I hope you enjoy this rum as much as I do.

Not to sweet, balanced taste, but not going to buy another bottle
This rum was the best in this price category. Not sharp. Full body taste, balanced sweetness. Simply best for me. Actually my favourite.

Abuelo je ve vůni nejprve trochu štiplavější, poté mi připomnělo vůni po Diplomaticu.
V chuti vyšší náznak štiplavitosti, není sladký.
Je to ovocnější, dospělý rum, mám v oblibě sladší, přesto se jedno o dobrý rum
There is nothing offensive about this rum, the nose is a little deceptive, the alcohol filled aroma would lead you to believe this rum is going to be strong and harsh but it isn't its soft but complex with a very sweet after taste.

Good and tasty. There is nothing exceptional, but I like the herbs and some mandarine in the taste.
I am greeted with burned sugar, vanilla and a hint of apricot. I get also dry furits and some herbs.
All flavors are wrapped in some white ok. Not the panama smell I expected, usually panama rums are more bright.
As the first drop hits my tongue, I get burned sugar with mandarine and vanilla. A second sip provides dry fruits, some wood and also chocolate. The spice provides also some cinnemon notes.
The taste is not complex and the flavors are common. Still a good rum but not exceptional for me.
I would rate it with 72 points.
Smell: burned sugar, white oak, vanilla, dry fruit (plum, apricot), some herbs/plants
Taste: burned sugar, mandarine, vanilla, dry fruits, some wood, chocolate, spice
Finish: middle long, almost short but the spicy taste lingers longer
