Perfume and maybe some light vanilla. Super drinkable, nice level of sweetness. Golden honey like colour.
Going through the Panamanian offerings. Fruity complex nose on this one, tropical fruit, vanilla and sweetness, makes you want to take a sip. The initial sip is smooth and sweet, but finishes on the harsher end. Added sugar to this one maybe? Still gave it a 7, not quite as good as the Ron Duran 12, which is a bit drier and didn't oversweeten, but overall not a bad bottle for you or your average guests.
It's better in taste than on the nose. Good quality for low price.
This one is really close to Floor de Cana with extra sweeteness. I tasted a sample but I would buy a bottle.. It is a good rum!
Denne rom er smagt til Whisky messe 2022 i Kolding. Fin god smag..
What the title says.
The rum is a good experience from start to finish. This is what you think of when you think sipping rum.
I was hopeful about this rum. I'm quite loyal to specific selections that I know that I enjoy. However, I understand the importance of venturing out and trying new expressions. After seeing a significant quantity of positive feedback regarding this rum, I admit that I felt hopeful for something impressive. What I was met with instead, was a rum that isn't bad, but does not live up to other rums that I've come to enjoy. On the nose I got ethanol followed by brown sugar, vanilla, and banana. On the palate, I tasted brown sugar and caramel, with a vanilla finish and modest ethanol burn through the nostrils. In all honesty, I would have been happier having paid $10-15 less than it's retail price ($40 where I am) as I can think of numerous other rums at this price point, and cheaper that exceed this rum. Overall, decent rum but overpriced for what it is.
Five rums to which you would never add Coca-Cola
