An over abundance of artificial and ultimately sour flavours masks a nasty cheap base rum.

N- Banana ice cream with shredded ginger, star anise and clove. Dominant sweet spices notes as it should be, but sails well with basket-full of floral and ginger infuse cologne. Toasted oak and even some obvious almonds. Quite a bizarre 38%, but well zested, solid with some surprises. (86/20)
P- Same gene as the aroma, dried plum,, spices of ginger, clove, cinnamon ans star anise. Banana, oily toasted oak comes thru with nuttiness, sandalwood smokes, distant scents of burning joss stick from chinese temple. Acceptable sweetness with frsh and pickled ginger leading the pack. (87/21)
F- Medium, inevitable wee syrupy, still quite clean, oak, subtle spicy with great gingery heat remains. (86/20)
B/B- 86/20 Well spiced, and still balanced at under proof. A distant cousin to Dark Matter from the ginger family.

Well surprise surprise .
I thought this would be just your average el cheapo spiced rum that u could easily scoff down anywhere.
The smell is not overpowering and the spice taste is exquisite, not to sharp nor tooo soft.
I was pleasantly surprised out how smooth it was also. I think they have done well here and it make take over as my preferred spiced drink for awhile

A spiced rum like any other basic entry. Basically you take a rum and imbue it with all the mulled wine qualities. Quite sweet.
