Not a high end sipper, but still enjoyable.
Can taste vanilla, caramel and some oak.
A bit too harsh and too much alcohol burn/taste to get a higher rating.
I put this on a similar rating as Bacardi 8 and Doorly's XO for example.

On the nose: fruits, oak, spices, grilled pineapple, a lot of brown sugar, sugar cane, no alcohol sharpness, dark sweetness, some banana with cinnamon, nutmeg and a little clove.

On the palate: tropical fruits with lots of spices, oak, creamy, tingling, some dark chocolate with tannins, some old wood and leather, coffee.

Finish: dry, oak, spices, a little sugar cane and brown sugar, long, a little pepper.

For the style, this rum is great. A bit oakier than doorlys but has enough pot still character to balance it out.

I finally had the chance to try this rum on the rocks in a local tiki bar here on the Gold Coast. After reading all the amazing reviews about it I felt I little bit disappointed. It is a good rum, smooth and easy drinking but it’s not that great. I will buy a bottle when I find it and maybe change my score, but atm it’s just a nice easy drinking rum with caramel notes and almost no burn. Prob should have had it neat.

While not a truly amazing rum, this is definitely worth sipping on and for the price point an easy addition to the shelf of any rum enthusiast.

In arone you can find apple, cinamon and vanilla. In taste are caramel and chocolate.

I’m quite disappointed with this. I like that it’s dry, but all I’m getting is bitterness and burn. Very straightforward rum, not complex at all. Smells great but just doesn’t deliver flavour, maybe it’s one for on ice?

Tried first glass neat. Very mild alcohol burn. Taste was super smooth, was very surprised. Next was on ice and it just so easy to drink. Flavor was pretty mild - which I prefer. Love the bottle, the pureness of ingredients, and the price. I have had MANY more expensive bottles I would easily replace with this.

Neat: Odd bottle, OK smell, dry and smooth until the swallow, mild burn, terrible aftertaste.

Mixer: Makes a really nice Cuba Libre. This my new mixing rum.

I’m sorry I have had way better Seale rums. This is ok but I tried it once never bought another bottle. I like their Older top shelf stuff much better

I’ll admit I bought this rum for the bottle to start with & it certainly wasn’t cheap but I found it very nice. To good to have with a mixer.
