My first honest rum, with no added sugar at all, good value for money.

I got a bottle of this for Xmas the other year and was really pleased. This is a great tasting rum very smooth and has all the flavor you would expect in a 10 year rum. As a bonus the bottle fits in your hand like a dream.

As everyone knows, this is pure rum with nothing added. having only had it a couple of times so far, my score may rise. I did like it very much.
It's certainly drier than most rums but still has a sweetness on the fade. It's stronger than most rums at 43% and I'd describe the main tastes as molasses and caramel and wood. There's something exotic in there too - maybe a hint of fruit and ginger, and just a tiny hint of vanilla.
The nose is subtler than a lot of rums and there is maybe a hint of whisky - which is also on the tongue.
With the bottle being as interesting as it is, as well, this might be one to buy and leave out for curious guests!

Ok smell. Not too strong. Smooth but no real distinctive notes.

A fantastic rum in a spectacular bottle. The fragrance is very nice and in the mouth you can feel exotic fruits and some cinnamon. The 43 % gives it also a perfect power.
I think it can compete with Appleton 21 at an much more competitive price.

Smooth, but not quite the full flavour I was expecting from such a distinguished brand.

The fact this is $22 blows me away... What a cool bottle too
The whole range of FourSquare rums are premium, no sugar or additives, no bullshit, honest labeling, and honestly good. This one and his Doorly's range are available at Total Wine (they can be hard to find) for ridiculously low prices.
Its Bajan style, and executed very well. I see why they call it the "Single Malt" of rum - Its nutty, fruity, biscuity... It has a lightness to it while maintaining complexity and richness. A little water helps things evolve...
This is a rum for having neat, or in an old-fashioned. Buy it when you can, and enjoy it to your heart's content - Its only $22 a bottle.
