Soul Premium Cachaca

Very smooth. One of the best i have tried. Full flavor without the bite.

This cachaca has intrigued me into trying it for years because it was noted as the main ingredient in the caipirinha from Hard Rock Biloxi. Since they were out of it when I tried to order that drink, my mystery has remained until finding my very own bottle in central Florida last week.

There is something unique about this cachaca that I cannot pinpoint, but in a pleasant way. Yes, it is a premium cachaca, but I have reviewed four that are better and nine that are not as good (or even terrible). This really would make a great caipirinha because there is nothing offensive about it and it has a unique tasting note.

And from viewing cocktail recipes on their website, this is a quite versatile cachaca and mixes well with more than what goes into the standard caipirinhas. It also happens to go great with one's favorite coconut rum.

The image as seen through the bottom of the bottle is an added bonus. It is a transparent map of Brazil that can view the image of the Christ statue landmark that is placed on the inside back of the bottle. Totally unique!

And for those who hate metal screw caps like this one has, your collection of real corks comes in handy. However, I have about three dozen in my collection of standbys for when corks have dry rotted, and most of them are 18 mm in diameter. This bottle opening in 19 mm, which is too wide for standard corks and too narrow for the larger varieties. I guess that this company wants us to keep that stupid green metal screw cap.

Very smooth with no burn. has good aroma. Has a earthy taste. One of the better ones that I have tried. Will buy again.
