Strong touch of toffee and coffee. You can feel it's from Millonario but not as sweet round and full of vanilla. Rather it's a bit more straight forward

Just got this one today.
Bottle: Absolutely beautiful bottle it's nice and sturdy. Love the whole design. The rum has a beautiful colour and just by the look of it makes me drool.
Nose: hints of vanilla, burnt cane sugar, exotic fruit and perhaps som darker oaky tones..
Mouth: Complex and smooth, sweetish chocolate, exotic fruits, and then a hint of burnt cane sugar, toffeeish darker oak tones, not too much oak though it ends up with a bitter and nice burn.
Price a bit too high to be an everyday sipper, all in all this rum is a real treat.

Rum tasting in Tirana Albania continued with La Maison du Rhum Perou 2008. Very nice bottle and label design. Bright golden color. Sherry flavors mixed with drier than the regular Ron Millonario where the base is derived from to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Sweet and short burn at the end. Extremely good rum, but not as good as Ron Millonario.

Aroma is gentle with sherry and vanilla. First taste is sweet, after come burning (pepper) vanilla, wood, honey and chocolate. Aftertaste is shorter and not very pleasant - bit burning.
