Best dry white rum mixer! Excellent for Daquiris, Mojitos, El Floriditas, etc...!

I would say it is on par with 12yo. Definitely better than 5yo.
Authentic taste of Flor de Cana, just not that bold. Smooth and rich with little aftertaste.
Great for 30$!

Finally a white rum with flavour, diversity, and personality. Dry, not cloying, and perfectly rounded. Crisp and clean finish.

Ok, like is the case with the Flor de Caña Anejo Oro (7), it excels in the execution. You get more direct, white offspring of the distillate, which speaks out what whites are about. Yes, they are close to vodka. But, while the range of latter is best at approaching clarity of spirit, white rum can speak the tale of the sugarcane. The story of rum itself. I highly regard this particular maker, no nonsense here, rum of a kind is what you get.

Proud to have shared this with the staff as the shift drink at Hugman's Oasis on the San Antonio Riverwalk 2/21/23
What can I say? Floral, hot, drinkable, energizing, everyone should have this on hand ❤️
This time I gave it 7/10
Edit: Also tasted June 27, 2021 at Laka Lono. when I gave it 5/5 so I have adjusted my overall rating up to 8/10.
Notes from the original tasting indicate that after the initial taste, I turned into into a SotoDax and realized "I'm a fan of the brand."

The first light rum to leave an impression on me. I’m on my second bottle as it goes well with most summer cocktails. It’s super clean, lightly sweet, and subtly grassy in flavor, with a dry burn at the finish. Absolutely stellar in light Latin drinks like Daiquiris and Mojitos—really highlights the citrus and vegetal notes in each drink respectively. By no means a sipper, but my go-to white/silver/light rum mixer for all the summer staple cocktails.

One of the best rums for mixing. I will buy it again.

I don’t often sip blanco rums so my experience with this rum is in mixed drinks. It has worked well in a daiquiri and mixed with ginger ale and lime.

This is an incredible mixing rum for anything that benefits from a nice light, subtlety sweet dry rum. Makes perfect Mojitos, stunning Daquiris and sublime Pina Coladas. The nose has hints of vanilla and very subtle floral hints. The taste is very similar with that wonderful dry finish. This is definitely not a sipper but it's not meant to be. There are other white rums that bring other qualities to the party but you don't always need all that. The other thing that makes this rum outstanding is the price.
Anybody who makes rum cocktails at home should definitely give this a try. It will always have a place in my home bar.

Okey so tasting this neat wasn't bad but this rum isn't intended for that and it shows, as the taste profile isn't terrible, but there still is little too much alcohol burn and not much to write home about. Well I actually enjoyed the neat glass, but of course this wasn't an incredibly good experience.

Mixing a cocktail is where the rum really starts to shine. You know it is a rum-based cocktail if you use this, there is pepper spices and maybe hints of mint in the taste, but it doesn't distract from the taste of other ingredients, rather this complements the main stuff. Good for highballs, great for unusual (not in that agricole way tho) daiquiris. Would be better than havana club 3 as a mixing rum for me.
