First off, I got a bottle of this in September, 2015 on my "cruise from hell" to the Bahamas when I didn't know what the heck "151" meant. I've since educated myself and even had a couple of drinks with 151 floaters. Didn't really care for the 151 floaters. Now it's December and I finally decided to open this rum and try it. Definitely smells strong in the bottle but also smells sweet. Tastes sweet, too...that is, for about a second or so then the burn hits...a strong but not vicious burn. This is surprising since the 151 floaters I had on top of some frozen cocktails didn't taste as good as this. However this is a rum to be used sparingly in drinks and for me, it's way too strong for sipping. It's still a remarkably good rum.
