Bacardi 151 rum is one of the most well known overproof rums on the market. 151 tends to be the most common overproof strength because in pot stills this is the natural dillilation proof, but overproof rums in generally can range from 100-170+.

So about the best thing I've found use of 151 for is flaming gorilla shots at our annual holiday party.
Definitely not for the faint of heart! I think the only purpose for this lava is to add potency to mixed drinks. To each his own but surely not my cup of tea

To all the people who want's to get drunk as fast as possible... this is the rum for you!
The taste is not great, but hey, you don't buy this to drink it straight up.

Comparing this with Cruzan aged 151, it has the same belt and burn, but this one lacks any actual interesting flavor. Granted the Cruzan is aged, so perhaps not quite fair. If you have a choice go with something else, but this one packs the punch just fine :)

Potent indeed, and that's how it's designed to be. Definitely will shorten your night a bit.
Shoot this on a dare, yes, but not for sipping. I use this in jungle juice instead of Everclear since it's close to the same proof with that additional rum taste. I see this like Malibu. This isn't a rum to be taken seriously, but it will add some dimensions to your gatherings, and mess up everyone. Try cutting up a whole pineapple, add a can of maraschino cherries (and the liquid), a 2L of 7up, a gallon of OJ, a half gallon of Cranberry juice, and a couple bottles of this stuff. Serve chilled in a paint bucket or kiddy pool.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Expected this one to really overtake the taste in a mixer but you can put quite a lot in your mixer before it gets to harsh. A dangerous drink ;)
