Nothing stand out about this rum, it is nice but does not stand out.

Nose is one dimensional with a touch of bite. On the tongue this is drier without the super sweetness of some rooms which would be nice as a sipper but again, very limited palate with nothing to recommend it as a sipper.

Mixing it was nice but again nothing special. For the price of this rum you would expect more. Liked it but will not carry it forward as several less expensive rums mix better and I do not see this as a sipper or blending.

Sweet, good, quite drinkable. Not fascinating, and not bad - just fine.

Inexpensive aged rum. Not a huge difference between the ages and the regular but still a great taste.

Nice rum with strong notes of banana. I'd buy again.

I like Bumbu Original, which is just in its own category of rums. And this XO tastes like the original, but then more mature.

One of the most accessible really nice rums. I personally love the opaque bottle although I know that's controversial (On one occasion I drank more than my fair share, and thankfully the matte black design shirked me of personal responsibility. Consider this when shopping for rums). The spices are not cloying or overwhelming at all, they support the flavor of the rum itself, which really shines here compared to other spiced rums. It's surprisingly gentle tasting alcohol-wise, and all around just gives off an air of refinement (at a relative bargain). Perhaps that very lightness and the good balance of spices are what really let you appreciate the taste of the rum itself in this one.

Better than the original. Like the flask with the iconic X and the taste is delicious. Ideal for casual drinking for an affordable price.

Solid, balanced RUM, I like that little bite at the End. Not for sweet lovers. Great first step to the world of sipping RUMS.

This is a good sipper for the price, but there are many more that cost slightly more and taste much better. I’m a big fan of the unique taste of the regular Bumbu, but this is geared more like a sipper but I’d recommend Flor De Cana 12 or Zacapa 23 over this one.

Really different. Took me a while to recognize the flavor. Has a green banana taste. If you don't like that, you will not like this rum. I enjoyed it

Mildly medicinal but far less than I predicted. Semi-sweet (drier than most rums) and decently smooth with minimal bite and burn. It does leave you with a slight banana taste in your mouth but it's extremely subtle. Not the greatest rum ever but totally decent and well worth trying.
