Bumbu XO

Très équilibré! Beaucoup moins commercial que le Bumbu original qui est trop doux et déborde de saveur de banane. Celui ci est moins doux et puissant ! Chaque gorgée réchauffe la poitrine. Des notes de caramel, de vanille et une finale assez longue qui se conclut par de subtiles saveurs d’ananas.

Unlike the Bumbu Original, the flavor is way more balanced and enjoyable.

I had expected something quite special here, and I guess expectation is what probably made me underwhelmed. It's a solid rum, but there are more enjoyable, close competitors, on flavour at half the price.

Bold, extractive and aromatic style, good balance, not necessarily my type, but still a good one on the rocks or with some cola and ice.

Angenehme Farbe, riecht mild und keineswegs scharf. Süss auf der Zunge, angenehmen Nachgeschmack kein Brennen. Ein guter Tropfen für mal zwischendurch.

I prefer the base edition of Bumbu. This feels young and too spirity. The alcohol stings the nose and the palate. Skip this.

Alleen voor de looks van de fles gekocht. Hoe die smaakt is nog een verrassing.

Sweet, smooth, and simply delicious! Oak, vanilla, and spice on the pallet. If you like a good rum and Coke, this is the rum for you!

Delicious! I would pair this with German chocolate cake, heavy on the coconut. This is a tropical delight.

Update: January 27 2024, Wall to Wall Wine Omaha: I'm moving this down to 8 stars. Still a delightful rum, we just need a more reasonable rating.
Appearance: Amber
Aroma: tropical
Flavor: some nuttiness and heat to go with the sweetness. This is a real rum, there I said it!
