Bumbu XO

Nice Amber coloured rum, Sweet not tot alchoholic scent, a balanced nog top Sweet flavour, little Sharp on the tongue. Long lingering caramel like aftertaste. Overal a pleasent rum for sipping. But not very special.

Balanced from the nose through body to the finish. Slight banana flavor. A food sipping rum.

I am very satisfied like always with Barbados rums. Not so sweet like Original (it is not rum for me) and more balanced. Pleasantly stronger.

Weak flavour, weakly coconut finish. Doesn't really hold up as a sipper. Lackluster

For those who love sweeter rums, this one is for you. One of my favorite rums, although I know saying that is a sacrilege to traditionalists as this is a blend and you can hardly taste any oak (lots of additives). There's no burn at all and I taste orange peel, caramel and coffee. For newer rum drinkers, this is almost as smooth as it comes and very tasty, for those who like Scotch, whisky or bourbon, you probably won't like it,

Bumbu XO makes a great sipping rum. It has rich, unique flavors with a perfectly balanced amount of sweetness. At $70 a bottle, it's well worth the try.

The XO seems to very good one for sipper. Not so sweet (drier) as the Original, goes smoothly with just a tiny bit on the throat. I could definitely find oak, caramel, vanilla, bananas (just a tiny fraction compared to Original one). Pretty balanced and decent sipping rum
