This guy was less sweet than regular bumbu and went down extra smooth. Great rum for a special ish occasion (because you want to drink it more often haha)
Really different from the Bumbu, not so sweet, not so spiced, a better rum at all
This stuff is FANTASTIC!!!!
I would definitely buy again and again.
Super jemný a pěkná lahev - ideální dárek. Aroma je na delikátní úrovni rozvíjející sladké tóny v pozadí s dřevitými kombinace příjemná ale ten pocit při povalování na jazyku jako bych pil několik různých druhů je znát jednoduše chutný pro začátečníky jako já
Definitely not a flavored rum like the original Bumbu, but more of a real, refined, aged rum meant for sipping or use in your special mixed drinks. Quite a bargain, I feel, for such a barrel-aged sipping rum. plenty of fruitiness, though much more subtle and related to the molasses from which it is fermented, than added flavors or spices like the original. Very nicely done! Bottle says a product of Panama, but other sites list this as of Barbadian molasses origin. Distillation was done in Panama.
Bumbu XO makes a great sipping rum. It has rich, unique flavors with a perfectly balanced amount of sweetness. At $70 a bottle, it's well worth the try.
Unlike the original, this rum is mature. You can definitely taste the age in this rum, it is very smooth with a little kick at the back of the throat with notes of smoked wood, caramel, citruses, pepper and coffee with a sherry-cask finish. A good rum to be drank over a slow melting ice cube.
Truly one of the best rums at this proce point. Competes well against a Zacapa.
Nice rum with a bit of a banana flavor.this one has also hints of wood and smoke. Very nice with some ice.
Notes of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg also come into play. It has little burn to no burn.
"It is a fair bit drier. There is a touch of oak and a little bit of spice. Traces of ginger and little cinnamon. It’s very very short finish wise."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It is not very spectacular but it's a serious one. Strong, powerful stroke, coffee and smoke aroma at the beginning. Aftertaste is bananas and a little bit peaches.
The aftertaste doesn't last enough.
A good one!
