Complexe mais ou les arômes et sensations d’alcool sont prédominants, le vieillissement en fûts de bourbon est perceptible. La notice du producteur indique un palais de caramel, cacao, gingembre, coings et noix de coco. Je dirais plutôt que la chaleur de l’alcool, le gingembre et les épices avec un soupçons de banane dominent. Intense, mérite une acclimatation.
Complex but where the aromas and sensations of alcohol are predominant, aging in bourbon barrels is noticeable. The manufacturer's notice indicates a palate of caramel, cocoa, ginger, quince and coconut. I would rather say that the heat of alcohol, ginger and spices with a hint of banana dominate. Intense, needs to get accustomed to.
Reminds me more of a bourbon than a rum, good oaky flavor but also quite a bit of alcohol bite.
Quite a mission to get my hands on this, but well worth the effort! The double ageing, first in Fiji and then in France can be tasted in the rich, toffee and caramel taste!
a rum with a lot of complexity flavors.. but so sweet on mouth.
banana, fruit sec, tobacco and chocolate....
7y in a bourbon cask and finish 2 y in Ferrand Cask.
