Trying for the high end, but leaving much to be desired 6 out of 10

This would be a fine aged agricole if it weren't for that weird gluey-aftertaste, similarly found in the 50 and 59. It's not the same glue in Jamaicans, which make them really funky and special. It's a taste that really offsets the citrus notes in an almost acrid way. So straight-up: no. Mixed: Possibly a winner as an addition to a mojito or daiquiri, although I haven't not tried it in this capacity.
The biggest challenge may lie in the price-point for this aged rhum. PL has clearly branded themselves as luxury rhum agricole producer, and it may eventually be if they can get the product right; but, the aged rhums just don't have any of the characteristics deserving of one. That said, the exorbitant pricing of their aged rhums leaves you scratching your head, after having tried their under 15 euro counterparts.
