Trinidad ganz weich / Trinidad so soft

Habe noch eine Flache der Caribbean Collection Trinidad Blend Nachfolge Abfüllung gekriegt, ist ja nicht mehr von Caroni sondern von TDL Angostura.
Im Glas Strohgelb mit Goldreflektionen.
In der Nase sehr frisch, weisse Früchte mit roten Beeren, dezentes Karamell auf getoastetem Holz, eine Wiese mit Moos nach einem Sommerregen.
Im Gaumen sehr angenehm leicht und doch mundfüllend, tropische Früchte im Karamell-Schoko Mantel mit Zitruszesten dekoriert.
Im Abgang sehr nach Schokolade mit ein wenig Früchten.
Ein gutgemachter Rum ohne Zusätze (nicht für Süss-Rum Liebhaber) für alle Tage oder auch zum mixen.
So nun noch ein Vergleich mit der Vorgänger Version der Caroni Destillerie.
Der Caroni ist etwas dunkler in der Farbe, war eventuell etwas länger im Fass.
Im der Nase beide sehr angenehm das Fruchtig-Erdige des Caroni entspricht mir mehr, das Fruchtig-Karamellige des TDL liegt mehr auf der lieblichen Seite.
Im Gaumen zwei komplett verschiedene Rums, herb, derb, brutal der Eine, zart, lieb, sanft, der Andere, aber doch Verwand.
Im Abgang, keine Frage die Caroni Aromen fressen sich unauslöschbar in Deine Zunge, also keine Chance für den Angostura.
Fazit: Ich finde die alte Abfüllung geiler, ist halt mehr "Vintage", die Neue ist mehr dem Markt angepasst.
I still got a bottle of the Caribbean Collection Trinidad Blend follow-up bottling, is no longer from Caroni but from TDL Angostura.

In the nose very fresh, white fruits with red berries, discreet caramel on toasted wood, a meadow with moss after a summer rain.
In the palate very pleasantly light and yet mouth filling, tropical fruits in caramel chocolate coat decorated with citrus zest.
In the finish very chocolate with a little fruit.
A well made rum without additives (not for sweet rum lovers) for all days or to mix.
So now a comparison with the previous version of the Caroni distillery.
The Caroni is a little darker in colour, was possibly a little longer in the barrel.
In the nose both very pleasant the fruity earthy of the Caroni corresponds to me more, the fruity caramel of the TDL lies more on the lovely side.
In the palate two completely different rums, bitter, coarse, brutal one, tender, sweet, gentle, the other, but still family.
In the finish, no question the caroni aromas eat themselves indelibly into your tongue, so no chance for the Angostura.
Conclusion: I think the old bottling is cooler, it's more "vintage", the new one is more adapted to the market.
