Cheap/mid range rum from supermarket, personally I didn't enjoy this so much.

Great tasting spiced rum.
Good mixed or neat over ice

My 1st ever bottle of spiced rum for my 50th last year and I loved it, with cola, ginger beer or old Jamaica pinnapple soda which I love. The smell of vanilla is to die for. Since this bottle my collection of spiced rums have grown to almost 20

This isn't an amazing rum; however, it is one of the best spiced rums you'll find in an average supermarket and a bargain for its price (~Β£16). Upon sipping, you'll be met with a warm, smooth vanilla profile, with a slight ginger aftertaste. It is drinkable neat (preferably cold), but as with all spiced rums (with a few exceptions), this one is better mixed with ice, coke, and a lime wedge.

Pretty unexpectedly good. Easy to drink and a nice balanced flavour.

Good combination of vanilla and ginger spices. Not my best but I would recommend

Well balanced notes of ginger and vanilla, althoguh I find the giner slightly more dominant than the vanilla, leading to a slightly acidic taste. This is balanced with a sweet mixer, but this rum is still very drinkable neat. But nevertheless, an increadibly smooth rum. Overall, for the price of this rum, the quality is surpsingly great.

For a budget rum this is quite a surprisingly decent one! Very tastey especially on its own or with the traditional coke.

After seeing relatively good reviews on red leg, I ended up putting my go too sipper back on the shelf (Wood's). Popping the Cork cap, I found a very muted aroma. Initial taste was similar, then the flavours came through slightly, more vanilla than ginger, then a slight alcohol burn, nothing lingered for too long. I would compare this to a typical supermarket rum like Captain Morgen's, ok to bring to a party, not terrible, bit also not good if you like to sip straight. It would probably do well in sweet rum based cocktails. I'll be sticking with Wood's as my quick buy sipper for now.

This I would rate as a very average rum. Not too harsh and maybe a little too sweet. Very cheap at only around $50AUD and for that its acceptable. Anything more and I would probs hate it, but they know what they are putting out and price it accordingly.
