Very strongh alcohol on nose, as well as very harsh on palate, however very long with little sugary aftertaste.

Ovocie, jemné drevo a tráva

Honey yellow amber in the glass.
A bit unusual on the nose. A burning oak barrel full of rum stands in a field of blooming yellow flowers and wild herbs. Caramel and resin ooze out from between the smoldering staves, the smoke almost bites you in the eyes.
A bit wild and boisterous on the palate, but knows how to behave. You walk through the flower meadow towards the only still smoldering barrel, tropical fruits, vanilla, moss, caramel, a few spices, herbs and a pinch of salt boil in it.
Long lasting finish, fruit and vanilla go first, caramel and herbs stay longer. Some salt lingers on your lips at the end.
Great Agricole that could also appeal to molasses rum fans. For Agricole beginners and explorers, connoisseurs are sure to find enjoyment as well. 7+

Enjoyed a bottle of Domaine de Severin Vieux 4y while vacationing in Guadeloupe. Pretty decent bottle and label design. Cheap at EUR 19 a bottle. Light golden color. Dry Rhum Agricole flavors like grass, citrus and floral notes alongside plenty of oak and vanilla to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end being so dry. Rhum Agricole lovers can add 2 points to my score.
