Read the various Longueteau reviews and thought I needed to try one, so picked up a sample of this.

The nose in an inviting blend of brown sugar and varnish, with an vegetal undercurrent. Interesting

The taste starts off great, similar to the smell, but then a massive burn kicks in, that I don't enjoy so much. As it fades, the grass finally appears, then the varnish and dry wood. The finish is pretty long and probably the best bit.

I believe the idea behind Concerto was not to be restricted by age statements, but I get the feeling there's just too much young rum in this blend. Curious to try more from Guadeloupe, but looking for more than this.
