Distilled in 2008, bottled 2018. Pretty short, but punchy at the same time. Has the similarities of La Filibuste, but with a shorter palatte. Sweet vanilla, orange, figs, dark chocolate. Alcohol is present, therefore not so round overall. Still a very Strong aged agricole. To be sipped only. Not sure if it’s a clear 9/10. At the moment the score is 8.5-8.7. Will revisit
Bought a bottle of Bielle 2008 while vacationing in Martinique. Very nice and high end packaging, bottle and label design. Golden color. Traditional Rhum Agricole flavors are complemented with grass, citrus fruits, floral bouquet and plenty of oak to the nose and palate. Strong and dry burn at the end. Rhum Agricole fans boys can easily add 2 points to my score.
