Smells like tobacco.
Nice color, but to much "Pot Still" taste for me.
Rhum intéressant et original
Très boisé, un peu brûlé vanillé
barva : tmavší zlatavá až mahagon
vune plnější, tropické ovoce, koření, kůže, agricola style
chut: sladkost a ovoce, suchost, ale rychle mizící
zaver : ...zůstává lehké příjemné agricolová, slámová a docela drží na patře
hodnoceni 7,5

V chutí mi přišel dost plochý a lehký.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Bought this Rhum from Catawiki to a very good price together with some other bottles.
Karukera is produced by the Esperance distillery in Guadeloupe that also produces Longuetau.
Karukera is the name the indigenous people called their island which means 'The island of beautiful waters'.
It’s distilled in the distillery’s column still, but the details how it has been aged differs, some says for seven years in French bourbon and cognac barrels others says five years in new charred barrels. Maybe there are two different ones.
The aroma is fruity, spicy with hints of vanilla and citrus.
The taste is fruity, spicy, smoky and oaky with hints of cloves, nutmeg and almonds.
The finish is medium long that’s spicy with some sweetness.
Overall a super smooth and round Rhum that probably is a very good introduction to Agricole from Guadeloupe.
