Wow, what a pleasant surprise when I grabbed this one... Great for those who like spicy and sweet, with more emphasis on the spice, but still really smooth. Great on the rocks, or neat! I like Captain Morgan Private Stock the best... this is a very close second.

I don't know how to rate this rum. When I have finished first bottle I was decided to buy another one. I was perfectly satisfied with specific orange taste of this rum. But after opening of second bottle I was very unpleasantly surprised and every bad review of this rum started to make sense.
Strong alcohol smell like some cleaner and tongue burning taste. I will try another bottle which my friend has and hope that it will be good experience again.

Pyrat is a very smooth good tasting rum. Enjoy is in the rocks or with tonic. Definitely in my collection of rums.

Sweet start, but a little rough going down. I agree Chris it can use a little more time to mature.

J'avais un peu peur d'essayer ce rhum à cause des avis défavorable concernant le gout d'orange parce que je n'aime pas ça. Mais en fait ce n'est pas un mauvais rhum. Il n'est pas exceptionnel non plus, trop sucré à mon gout, mais reste intéressant. Un gout d’orange est bien présent mais n’est pas dérangeant tant qu’on ne rajoute pas de glaçons.
I was hesitant to try this rum because of the negative reviews regarding the orange taste. But it's not a bad rum actually. It is not great either, too sweet for my palate, but still interesting. There is an orange flavor, but it's not disturbing as long as you don't add ice.

Voilà un rhum qui a tout pour séduire. Un blend d' excellents rhums des caraïbes et de Guyana avec un vieillissement maitrisé mais qui est gaché par un goût trop prononcé......d'orange. Une telle puissance sur l'orange ne peut avoir été rajouté que artificiellement. A part ça la bouteille est très réussie et le sucré est trop présent comme sur sur beaucoup d'autre rhums à succès. Alors rhum ou rhum arrangé à l'orange, that's the only question?
Se marie bien avec du pepsi max et jus de fruits en planteur.

This is a good sipping rum. Vanilla flavor with a hint of orange.

Amber in color with warm notes of orange. Lots of orange. If you don't like orange don't buy it. A far cry from white rums. Not to be mixed just sipped.

Very good rum , nice dark color , orange-vanilla , with a smooth finish.
